2008 Mini Stock Rules
 

Only compact cars with factory four cylinder engines, rear wheel drive and front mounted engines allowed.  No front wheel drives. Cars must weigh 2000 pounds with driver.

AGE REQUIREMENT
Drivers must be a minimum of 14 years old with no exceptions.  Certified copy of birth certificate is required.  At his sole discretion, the Race Track Promoter has the authority to permit an underage driver to participate in this class.

ENGINE
Only factory four cylinder engines allowed.  Headers are allowed, mufflers are mandatory, no super-trapps allowed and no glass packed mufflers..  Open motor rule. Mufflers are mandatory and must keep the car at 95 decibels or less.  ALL CARS MUST START UNDER OWN POWER. THERE WILL BE NO EXCEPTIONS TO THIS RULE!  IF a car cannot start under it's own power it WILL NOT RACE!

WHEELBASE
Maximum 102 inches.

CARBURETOR
Any two-barrel carburetor may be used.  Fuel pump may be electric or manual.  If electric it must have separate shut off valve and switch. 

CLUTCH
No ram couplers allowed.

REAR END
Any passenger car rear end allowed, locking of gears is optional.

WHEELS & TIRES
Steel wheels are to be a minimum of 6 inches and a maximum of 10-inches in width.  Race tires, asphalt pull-offs or 60 series street tires required.  Grooving is allowed.  Tire tread must be a minimum of  8 inches.

BRAKES
Must have at least three wheel working brakes, right front brake optional.  Brake valves okay.

BODY
Full bodies required.  Doors must be strapped or welded shut.  Fenders may be trimmed for clearance, no sharp edges allowed.  Stock or tubular bumpers allowed.  Stock floor pan is optional. Inner body parts may be gutted, boxing in driver’s compartment allowed. Ten inch spoiler maximum.  One tubing (no larger than 2 inches) will be allowed between front and rear wheels on both sides.  Tubing must be flush with the body. Bumpers cannot stick out past the body.  Aluminum bodies allowed.
 

SUSPENSION
Suspension is optional but must be safe and car must pass track inspection.  Weight jackers are legal.

ROLL BARS
Roll bars must be safe, welded properly and pass inspection.  All bars must be padded around driver’s head and arm areas.  The 4-point cage must be at least 1 ½  inch round tubing.

FUEL
Race gas or pump gas only.  No additives are allowed.  Fuel cells are mandatory and must be secured.  No boat gas tanks and no jerricans allowed.  There must be a metal divider between the fuel cell and the driver.  All fuel cells must be boxed in.

RADIATOR
Radiators must have divider between driver and radiator.

TRANSMISSION
Any stock transmission, no modifications allowed.  Drive shafts must be painted white.  Drive line loop required behind front yoke.  Two piece drive shaft must have two loops.

NUMBERS
All numbers must be at least 14 inches tall.  Numbers are limited to 3 digits and letters are not permitted.  Cars are to have an 18-inch or larger number on the roof for scoring.  Please keep numbers clean so that they may visible to scorers.

MUFFLERS
Mufflers are mandatory and must keep the car at 95 decibels or less.  All mufflers must be packed, and checked routinely to ensure full packing is in place.  No super trapps allowed.  You will not be permitted to run without a mufflers.  NO EXCEPTION OR GRACE PERIOD FOR THIS RULE.

NOTE: Cars, parts, components, and/or equipment will not be considered as having been approved by reason of having passed through inspection at any time or any number of times unobserved or undetected.

 Unless these specs say you can do something, you cannot.
