I-44 Speedway prepared for round 2 With Waynesville Snack A Pack Night

By Ronnie Williams (Lebanon, MO) -- After an exciting opening night, The "High-Banks" of The Lebanon I-44 Speedway is ready for action again Saturday Night as the Speedway will host The Waynesville Snack A Pack Program along with Lebanon YMCA night at the races with all 4 of The NASCAR Whelen Series classes in action featuring The Pro Late Models, Ground-Pounding Modifieds, Street Stocks and popular Chargers.

With last weeks Pro Late Model winner, Cole Williams not to be in attendance, The Speedway will be looking to see who will become the 2nd feature winner of the season as former track champions Kaleb Allison of Mexico, Mike Slone of Rolla, defending champion Brian Brown of Strafford, and Tim Swearengin of Springfield heading the field along with leading Rookie Contender Jake Piel of St. Louis and last seasons points runner-up Steve Holt of Strafford joining the fun along with 2016 Sportsman champion Jimmy Fohn of Eldrdge, and Kansas City ace Ronnie Hartford expected. After missing last weeks opening night, 2016 NASCAR Missouri and I-44 Speedway Rookie of The Year, Mandy Chick is expected to make her first apperance of the season along with fan favorite " Jamming"Jimmy Van Zandt and others competing in the 30 lap Main Event along with Terry Limberopolous of Cuba after suffering motor issues last week.

Current Modified point leader Ricky Icenhower will be starting back in the field this week by capturing last weeks feature event in the High-Speed " Ground-Pounding" Modifieds with a tough field to pull through the gates. The Lewis Family of Willard, son Richard and Father Brian will be prepared to attempt and get into the winners circle this week along with Lebanon's Chris "The Bulldog" Johnson and former 3-time track champion David Bates is expected to make his first start of the season along with Mark Riddle of Springfield, Chris "The Sarge" Kerperien, Fair Grove hard charger Terry Taylor, Wayne Lewis and several others.The question not answered is will defending champion Tim Swearengin do double duty again and bring his Modified along with his Pro Late Model this week.

Lebanon's Michael Juergensen will be carrying the point lead into the Street Stock class and looking to repeat his win from last week. Former champion Jordan Nisbet of Lebanon, Aaron Douglas of Lebanon, The "Dodge Boys" Aaron Wilke of St Louis and Nick Cherry of Sp[ringfield, former champion Steve Shaw of Rogersville, Richland's James Ellis while Fair Grove's Les Mallard looks to get back on track after problems last week. Tony Johnson also looking to rebound from issues last week while rookie Rocky Teske of Lebanon gets valuable track time in only his 2nd race ever.

Defending Charger Champion Ronnie Taylor of Springfield heads the popualr Charger class into this weekend while Jerry Ellis of Richland is riding high from his great charge from the back to the runner-up spot in the feature. Justin Gantt of Highlandville, Osage Beach driver and regular Luke Oyster, Lebanon's Miss Breken Johnson,Ken Cruzan of Springfield and rookie Parker Ellis will be looking for win number one as Camdenton's Nick Schmidt and front runner Jesse Poindexter of Willard and Bolivars Nik Taylor also head the field-up.

Grandstand and Tier Parking gates will open at 6PM with qualifying for The Modifieds and Pro Late Models begin at 6:15 with Racing to begin at 7:30.
