Chick Earns Second Straight Second-Place Finish at Lebanon I-44 Speedway
Inside Line Promotions – LEBANON, Mo. (June 20, 2017) – Mandy Chick was once again in contention for her first career win at Lebanon I-44 Speedway last Saturday.
“I’ve gained a lot of confidence through these past few weeks racing at Lebanon I-44 Speedway,” she said. “That was one of our goals in deciding to race there weekly instead of jumping on board with the JEGS/CRA All Stars Tour right off the bat. We wanted to be strong at I-44 first and make as much progress as we could.”
Chick qualified second – only two tenths of a second off the pole – for Saturday’s feature event. That marked Chick’s best qualifying effort of the season.
She started the main event from the outside of the front row and held her ground, ultimately finishing where she started. It was her second consecutive runner-up finish.
“I’m happy we finished second last weekend,” she said. “I think we did a good job, but I’m not satisfied. I’m not going to stop there. I’m ready to get that first win.”
Chick will take this weekend off from racing and will return to the track on July 3 at Lebanon I-44 Speedway with the JEGS/CRA All Stars Tour.
“Although we haven’t got our first win yet, I feel like we’ve gained a tremendous amount of experience heading into the JEGS/CRA All Stars weekend,” she said.
