Chick Joins JEGS/CRA All Stars Tour After Strong Run at Home Track

Inside Line Promotions – LEBANON, Mo. (July 6, 2017) – Mandy Chick produced a strong performance last weekend when she joined the JEGS/CRA All Stars Tour at her home track of Lebanon I-44 Speedway.

“I felt pretty confident going into this weekend and jumping into the All Stars Tour,” she said. “I knew I would have to be on my top game again this week with all the competition and talent. But we have learned a lot and made so much progress at I-44 lately that I felt sure we would be a contender and run up front.”

Chick was quick in both practice sessions before qualifying 13th quickest.

“The qualifying run wasn’t exactly what I was hoping for,” she said. “I told my guys that I felt like I had left a little bit out there on the track, but we had to take what we could get and work our way forward in the feature.”

Chick started the 144-lap feature on the inside of the seventh row. After an early spin in traffic, she was able to fight her way back from 18th to break into the top 10 and eventually maneuvered her way to sixth by the time checkered flag was waved.

“That was a tough race for sure,” she said. “It was one of the longest races that I’ve ever ran. We’re used to running 75 or 100 laps at most, not 144. I was prepared for the challenge and all of the time my personal trainer, Paul, has invested in the gym with me paid off when we pushed through the last 44 laps to the finish after the mandatory caution on Lap 100. In addition to the length of the race, the number of good drivers and overall competition level was much higher than I have seen yet. We were racing against, and battling for positions at times with, some of the best like Cole Williams, Chandler Smith, Stephen Nasse, Cole Rouse and lots of other talented drivers. Taking all of that into account, I’m so happy with our finish and feel like we were able to prove that we will be a contender in this series.”

The sixth-place result was her best-ever finish with the series and garnered a Great Lakes/Hoosier Performance Award as well as the VanDoorn Racing Development Rookie of the Race Award.

Chick, who has earned five top 10s this season, will travel to Berlin Raceway in Marne, Mich., with the JEGS/CRA All Stars Tour on July 15.

SPONSOR SPOTLIGHT – Renegade Racing Fuels

The Renegade Program got its start way back in 1975 when the founder, Toby Baptiste was running his father’s dragster down the drag strip starting at the age of 15. After experiencing fuel system problems that were caused by poor quality fuel and not getting any support from the fuel manufacturer to make it right, Toby set out to find a better way. So at the age of 18, Toby started a small fuel business out of his father Ronnie’s one car garage and named it after his father’s racing team, Renegade Racing.

The company was small and there was a lot to be learned, but Toby never gave up and continued to build his name in the race fuel business. Then, in 1998, Toby was provided the opportunity to take on a distributorship with an already well established race fuel company. In just a few short years, Toby’s Renegade Racing Fuels distributorship had become one of the largest distributors of race fuel in that part of the country. It was at this point that Toby decided it was time to start blending and distributing his own Race Fuel Products. So in 2004 Toby partnered with Valor Oil Company and established what we know today as the Renegade Racing Fuels and Lubricants Division of Valor, LLC.

“Renegade Race Fuel is the go-to place for quality racing fuel,” Chick said. “It’s been a product that we have used in our race cars for a long time and for years to come. We’re happy to have them as a part of our racing team this season as well.”

Chick would also like to thank www.323.TV, Chix Gear Racewear, Kenny’s Tile & Flooring, FK Rod Ends, Fragola Performance Systems, VanDoorn Racing Development, McGunegill Engine Performance, AR Bodies, Simpson Racing Products, Bassett Racing Wheels, Mittler Brothers Machine & Tool, True Auto Parts & Paint, The Joie of Seating, KE Graphics and Signs, Capital City Oil, Fabrications Unlimited, Dynamic Drivelines & Marketing at Full Speed for their support.
